Hello lovelies! Welcome back to another Mannequin Mania post. Today, I decided that I was going to write about Zara because, well, it’s Zara.
Arya and I always make a pit stop at Zara in New York City, considering there is one every few blocks in Manhattan. Zara is weirdly amazing because if you are a bargain shopper like me and Arya, sometimes you can find cheap, quality apparel and clothing to wear. However, today we are focusing on the mannequins Zara places within their store. Let’s begin!
These three mannequins draw everyone’s attention instantly because of the way they’re placed. The first mannequin on the left is inside of a box, sort of like a mime haha. Her jacket is to die for, honestly to get that jacket Arya might have to die so that I can get her money to purchase it. When you go to the middle mannequin, she is still in a box, however the box is not as confining. I am in love with the pant cut, you barely find good capris nowadays. And finally, the last mannequin is up. By this point, there is no longer a box signifying that this look is meant to stand out. And it does! The lines of both of the garments put together shouldn’t work, but somehow they do!
So this is quite interesting. This was taken in Taipei, a city were hundreds of activists stood tall and told Zara to stop producing so many harmful chemicals in their clothing. They used mannequin like-ideas to promote the awareness. Bravo!
Color, color, color! This Zara window display features mannequins with a fresh new style. Really, it’s not fresh, we’re just throwing it back to the disco ages of life. Being a white tee shirt in those times was rough.
That’s all for today’s mannequin mania (:
